What kinds of biometrics are supported?

In the smartphone solution, both fingerprint and face recognition are supported. However, with a scanner, only fingerprint is supported.

Can we add multiple fingers for a user?

In the smartphone solution, all of the device's enrolled fingerprints can be used for verification. With a fingerprint scanner, you can add multiple fingers for users, but for each finger, you must create a dedicated fingerprint security key in the IDmelon Panel.

What fingerprint scanners are supported?

Currently, only scanners from Experix company are supported. To support a specific scanner, you can reach out to our support team and leave a request.

Can this solution be used for Windows login?

Yes. Users can log in to their online web accounts and Windows computers with this solution.

Does this solution work in an On-Premises environment?

Yes, having IDmelon FIDO Credential Provider (FCP) installed on computers along with the fingerprint driver, users can log in to the computers only with a simple fingerprint scan. Using smartphones though, users can install IDmelon Pairing Tool on their PCs and log in to their computers with either face recognition or fingerprint scanning.
